Dr. Sean Breen
Anti-Aging, Functional and Regenerative Medicine Specialist
Dr. Sean Breen is a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. Following medical school he was awarded a United States Navy Health Professions Scholarship and completed his post-graduate training at the prestigious Naval Medical Center located in San Diego, California. During his 9-year career as a Navy medical officer, he spent 4 years as a battalion surgeon with 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton, California.
In 2003, he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF-1) as the battalion surgeon for 1st Battalion 4th Marines. He was in charge of 65 Navy Corpsman and responsible for the health of over 1,000 United States Marines. During his 9-month deployment, he was embedded with the Marines on the front lines directly in combat.
He was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Valor for his actions on April 8, 2003, taking care of a fallen Marine in a section in Baghdad called Saddam City. Upon returning from combat in September 2003, he continued to serve with the Marine Corps as the battalion surgeon for 1st Combat Engineer Battalion and was promoted to be the 11th Marines Regimental Surgeon.
He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 2006 after being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Following his decorated military career, Dr. Breen shifted his focus to preventative medicine. Already proficient in osteopathic and CranioSacral manipulation, he went on to earn a degree in Medical Acupuncture from the Helms Medical Institute at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine. He completed the advanced fellowship with the American Academy of Anti-Aging and earned his board certification in Anti-Aging, Functional and Regenerative Medicine.
In addition, he became an expert in Bioidentical Hormone Therapy after training with Dr. Neal Rouzier, who is world renowned for his work and research in natural hormone replacement therapy. He is currently completing a Masters Degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine at the University of South Florida medical school.
Dr. Breen is the founder and medical director for Dr. Sean Breen, PC. His clinic is the premier medical clinic in preventative, functional and regenerative medicine in Southern California.
His goal is to restore optimal health and prevent disease before it becomes symptomatic. He has developed an annual health plan that walks patients step-by-step through the healing process over an entire year.
Each patient receives a customized health plan designed to restore the body’s natural hormones to levels they had when they were 20 years old.
In addition, each patient receives a customized nutrition plan based on their specific physiology, biochemistry, and nutritional status. Lastly, he uses the latest scientific technology based on peer reviewed medical literature to help patients break free of the current medical model which is treating symptoms with drugs while failing to address the underlying or root cause of the disease.
In addition, Dr. Breen played Division-1A baseball as a pitcher for Iona College located in New Rochelle, NY (picture). He was a First Team academic All-American in his junior and senior years and was a NY State College All-Star in 1996. He was also named team captain in his senior year. His passion for athletics continues and he has been an active member of the CrossFit community since 2009. He is passionate about helping athletes achieve peak performance by avoiding overtraining and identifying injury depletion.
Personally, Dr. Breen has been married Erin since 2009 and has three children (Jack 7, Landon 4, and Danielle born October 29, 2017) and currently resides in the city of San Clemente, CA.
